Life Story for Sherry Ann Coy
Sherry Ann Coy, age 59, of Florence, Indiana, entered this life on August 21, 1958, in Madison, Indiana, the loving daughter of, Denver Nolan and Karen Lou (Trimnell) Coy. She was raised in Switzerland County, where she was a 1976 graduate of the Switzerland County High School. Sherry was a former dispatcher for the Vevay Police Department for five years and for Grand Victoria in Rising Sun, Indiana for five years. Sherry was a member of the Family Worship Center in Carrollton, Kentucky. She resided in Florida for 18 years with her family and for the past several years in Switzerland County. Sherry enjoyed cross stitching, computers, playing cards and socializing with her family and friends. Sherry passed away at 2:30 a.m., Wednesday, July 4, 2018, at her residence.
Sherry is survived by her mother, Karen Lou (Trimnell) Coy of Florence, IN, her caregiver and cousin, Ben Lattire and his wife: Cindy of Florence, IN; her aunt, Blanche Schmidt of Aurora, IN; her uncle, Edward Trimnell of Cincinnati, OH; her cousins, Dennis Coy, Jeffery Coy, Roberta Coy, Pam Coy, Brian Coy, Shyla Trimnell, James Trimnell, Mary Jane Stogsdill, Julie Coy and Jennifer Coy and her abundance of friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Denver Coy, died March 2018; her brother, Denver Allen Coy, died February 7, 1962; her sister, Deborah Kay Coy, died March 15, 1960; her paternal-grandparents, Edwin "Dutch" Coy, died January 19, 1985 and Helen (Bennett) Coy, died July 13, 1969; her maternal-grandparents, Ora A. and Virginia "Marie" (Craig) Trimnell; her uncle, Glen R. Coy, died July 3, 1976 and her cousin, Robert Gene Coy, died November 28, 1984.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, July 9, 2018, at 1:00 pm, by Pastor Pat Butcher at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street Vevay, Indiana 47043.
Interment will follow in the Vevay Cemetery, Vevay, Indiana.
