Life Story for Richard D. "Bull" Browning

Mr. Richard D. "Bull" "Rick" Browning, age 62, of Milan, Indiana, formerly of Switzerland County, entered this life on April 8, 1956, in Madison, Indiana, the loving son of the late, Loren H. Browning and Dorothy Elizabeth (Browning) Stewart Browning. He was raised in Switzerland County, Indiana, where he was a 1974 graduate of the Switzerland County High School. Rick was inducted into the United States Army Reserve on July 18, 1980 in Louisville, Kentucky. He was honorably discharged with the rank of Private on November 12, 1980, at Ft. McClellan, Alabama. Rick was united in marriage on September 12, 1987, in Moores Hill, Indiana, to the late, Velma Rose Auel and they shared 16 years of marriage together until she passed away on January 31, 2003. Bull was employed as a carpenter for All-Phase Remodeling in Milan, Indiana and Cole Construction in Fairfield, Ohio, for five years. Rick was also an insurance repairman. Rick resided in Milan, Indiana, for the past 29 years. Rick was a member of the Vevay American Legion Post #185 and the Amvets Post 3 in Osgood, Indiana. Rick passed away at 4:36 p.m., Thursday, January 3, 2019, at the Kentuckiana Medical Center in Clarksville, Indiana.

Rick will be deeply missed by his step-daughters, Charlotte Mollaun, Cindy Uribe and Anna Rose Browning all of Milan, IN; his step-grandchildren, Joey, Brandon, Becky, Bubby and Emma; his step-great-grandchildren, Chesney, Remington, Bristol, Stella and Laken; his sister, Vickie D. McNay of Warsaw, KY and his nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Velma Rose (Auel) Browning; his parents, Loren H. Browning and Dorothy Elizabeth (Browning) Stewart Browning; his step-mother, Anna J. (James) Browning; his brother, Samuel E. Stewart; his sister, Lucretia "Tricia" M. Lyon and his step-daughter, Christine Cain.
