Life Story for Bobby Joe Gabbard
Mr. Bobby Joe Gabbard, age 34, of Sunman, Indiana, formerly of Moorefield, Indiana, entered this life on November 21, 1984, in Cincinnati, Ohio, the loving son of, Martha Theresa "Marty" (Dirkhising) Harnishfeger. He was raised in Brookville, Indiana where he was a 2004 graduate of the Brookville High School and served in the United States Army. Bobby was united in marriage on October 9, 2010, at the Caledonia United Presbyterian Church in Moorefield, Indiana, to Keli Jean Hall. This happy union was blessed with a daughter, Kassidy Jean Gabbard. He was a former carpenter and truck driver for E & E Maple Leaf Construction in Pleasant, Indiana. Bobby was currently employed in maintenance since January 2019 for the Madison Correctional Facility in Madison, Indiana. Bobby was a former member of the Moorefield Community Fire Department and the Switzerland Lodge No. 122 F&AM. Bobby was a volunteer for the Switzerland County Emergency Response Unit. Bobby was a wonderful father and loved helping others and lending a hand. Bobby will be remembered for his love of singing, fishing, cooking and carpentry. Bobby passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2019, in Ripley County, Indiana.
Bobby will be deeply missed by his daughter, Kassidy Jean Gabbard of Moorefield, IN; his mother, Martha Theresa "Marty" (Dirkhising) Harnishfeger of Sunman, IN; his twin sister, Theresa Parker and her fiancé, Tom Weinstiger Parker of Williamsburg, IN; his sisters, Lisa McGuire and her husband, Jody of Batesville, IN and Amanda Clegg and her husband, Kevin of Batesville, IN; his brothers, Eric Harnishfeger and his wife, Tammy of Saint Mary's, IN and Andrew Harnishfeger and his wife, Jerri of Brookville, IN; his several nieces and nephews; his two great-nieces and his uncles, aunts, cousins and numerous friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
